Dr. Justo was born in Havana, Cuba, and is proud to be fluent in Spanish. He was raised outside the Chicago area from the age of three. Dr. Justo is married with two sons and loves spending time with his cherished family. Among his many interests outside the office, Dr. Justo is a sports enthusiast and he also enjoys the theater, music, and travel.

“To me, Optometry is more than just eye and vision care, it is an integral part of understanding a person’s total health.  Having been trained in a veteran’s hospital I have had the privilege to manage some incredibly complex cases involving diabetes, heart disease, strokes and a myriad of other conditions.  It has prepared me to understand the impact of such diseases on the health of the eyes, and more importantly, has given me the confidence to care for the mildest eye issues to the most challenging.  I like for my patients to know that they are in good hands and that I will take care of their concerns in the most professional and personable manner possible. I truly love what I do and I hope that my patients can see that.”.

Practice Administrator

Hersh has worked in the Medical Management field in Arizona since 1983 and is a member of the Arizona Medical Group Management Association. He has an extensive background in the field of Laboratory Medicine and is registered with the American Society for Clinical Pathology as an MT (ASCP). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Arizona and his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Colorado. Hersh is also retired from the United States Air Force.

Director of Marketing

Elysia is from Twin Falls, Idaho and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communication at Washington State University in 2005, focusing on the fields of advertising, marketing, and sociology. With over seven years of marketing experience, Elysia specializes in media planning and buying, strategic planning and implementation, and social media. She enjoys staying abreast of the ever changing field of marketing and bringing that innovation to her daily work. Elysia will complete her Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing in the fall of 2011. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son and does extensive volunteer work with a women’s group at Arizona State University. She is a member of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), American Marketing Association (AMA), and the Online Media Marketing Association (OMMA).

Roxanne was born and raised in Westchester County, New York moving to Arizona in 1974. She has worked in the medical field for over 15 years. Roxanne is married with six children and three grandchildren. Roxanne enjoys traveling, spending time with family, helping her daughter compete at shows with their two horses, and playing with their dogs.

Roxanne is a Registered Nurse with 23 years of experience in the healthcare field. Since joining our Practice in 2006, Roxanne has been our Director of Nursing. As a result of her dedication to acquiring the latest expertise in non-surgical laser treatment as well as medical grade skin care, Roxanne has obtained unique high level certifications including the following: Certified Aesthetic Laser Nurse, Certified Medical Laser Safety Officer, and Certified OGAGI Skin Care and Blue Peel Specialist. When not providing direct clinical patient care, Roxanne functions as well as the Director of our Arizona state-licensed, Medicare-certified, and AAAHC-accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center located in our Sun City West medical building.

Front Office Supervisor

Jennifer is our Front Office Supervisor and has been a most valuable asset to our practice since joining us in 2001. She has over 17 years of experience in the medical profession. Jennifer has completed college courses in business and accounting, as well as having done certification training with Obagi Medical Products and Systems.

Dawn is a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant with over 14 years experience in Ophthalmology. She has been with the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center for nearly 10 years, serving as one of our key Cosmetic Consultants. Dawn has extensive experience and training in tissue fillers, Botox Cosmetic, and the various Obagi Skin Care Programs available. Dawn’s other duties include ophthalmic and surgical assisting, as well as preoperative counseling for patients.

Billing Supervisor

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Kathy moved to Arizona in 1973. She has vast experience in the medical and billing field for over 30 years, including 18 years in ophthalmology. Kathy has worked for the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center for over 6 years as the Billing Supervisor. She enjoys spending time with her family which includes two sons and one granddaughter.

Peggy moved to Arizona from Colorado two years ago and joined our Practice. She has been in the medical field for over a dozen years. In her spare time, Peggy enjoys her family and friends, as well as recreational outdoor activities.

Kim has loved living in Arizona for the past 15 years although she has lived previously in New York, Tennessee and Kentucky. Kim now lives in Wickenburg, and is proud to be married for over 23 years with 3 children. After many years of working in customer service, Kim returned to school for medical billing and coding, graduating from Apollo College in 2006. Since that time she has performed medical billing for both private practices as well as surgery centers. We are excited to have Kim be a part of the billing service within the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center.

Strategic Analyst

Allison was born and raised in Chicago, but has lived in Phoenix since 1998. She is married with two sons, and enjoys her precious time with family. Allison has her doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from Loyola University in Chicago, and has been active in the educational field for over 10 years as teacher, principal, and superintendent in both Chicago and Phoenix.
