Many patients with fatty or “chunky” necks and jowls may be good candidates for “Tumescent Micro-Cannular Liposuction” to remove fatty deposits and improve a patient’s neckline. In general, patients who are young or middle-aged are the best candidates, as older patients may possibly have too much flaccid skin which may require some type of face or neck lift in order to give the best result. In the appropriate candidate, tumescent liposuction of the neck and jowls is a conservative, rapid and painless procedure to perform with essentially minimal downtime. Most such cases are performed under only local tumescent anesthesia and requires less than one hour to perform.
