CHIN AUGMENTATION SURGERY AND RECOVERY

To insert a chin implant, Dr. Emilio Justo makes a small incision just under your chin. The implant is slipped into place and the skin incision is then closed. A typical chin augmentation takes less than one hour. Dr. Justo performs chin augmentation under intravenous sedation administered by is anesthetist in his fully accredited and licensed ambulatory surgery center* located in his Sun City West medical office building.

You will be able to go home typically within one hour after the procedure is completed and you will feel some soreness, numbness, and mild discomfort. The swelling and numbness will quickly improve and you can resume normal activities within one week of surgery. Dr. Justo may advise that you wear a chin brace while you are sleeping.

Chin augmentation can be combined with most other facial surgeries such as eyelid lift (blepharoplasty), face/neck lift, endoscopic brow lift, and/or laser resurfacing.
